Having represented clients before USCIS, the Department of State, and the Executive Office of Immigration Review, Gabriel brings a wide array of diverse immigration experience to Haight Law Group. Before starting with HLG, Gabriel worked as the Directing Attorney for Immigration Services at Catholic Charities of Los Angeles. In that role, Gabriel represented low-income families in both affirmative applications for immigration benefits and in defense of removal in Immigration Court. Prior to that position, Gabriel completed the Attorney General’s Honor’s Program with the U.S. Department of Justice. During the program, Gabriel served as an Attorney-Advisor to the judges of the Los Angeles Immigration Court.
Gabriel graduated Cum Laude from both the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. While in law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and President of the Hispanic Interest Law Student Association. Additionally, he externed for the Honorable Sharon Blackburn, the Chief Judge for the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
