Diversity Visa Lottery For Fiscal Year 2024

Every year the Department of State (“DOS”) holds a Diversity Visa Lottery, allowing up to 55,000 citizens of countries with low immigration rates to the U.S. to apply directly for an immigrant visa (green card).  The Diversity Visa Lottery is free to enter.  This year, the lottery application period is open now until 12 PM Eastern Time on November 8, 2022.  More information, including countries that are eligible and the individual requirements for education or experience, can be found in the DV-2024 Program Instructions available on the DOS website.
